The Old Man and the Old Moon
PigPen Theatre Company’s inventive and music-filled production The Old Man & The Old Moon explores love, memory, and the pull of adventure under the direction of Abby Weissman (Little Women). Blending live folk music, imaginative stagecraft, and sweeping storytelling, the production follows an Old Man whose lifelong task is to keep the moon filled with light until his wife slips away one night, drawn by a mysterious song and the promise of the far horizon. Determined to find her, he joins a ragtag crew of sailors and embarks on an epic voyage toward the edge of the world, encountering apocalyptic storms, civil wars, mythical monsters, and the fiercest obstacle of all: change.
